z1asid hi all, thinking of gettin my sri re-mapped.i dont really want to go to the expense of new exhaust and induction kit though.i dont mind changig the rear box which is an irmscher which i know is quite restrictive but i dont want an exhaust thats too noisy.are there any other mod`s i can do to make the most of a re-map or am i wasting my time by not going the whole hog. thx sid
Matt To be honest, without any other mods, you'll be wasting your time. There is also some problems with mapping the z22se engine, ask Sjdickso!
Sjdickso As Matt said pritty much waste of time and money unless you are going to really do some engine mods. Then be very careful on who you choose to do the map. I doubt this ecu will ever be cracked to be mapped correctly.
mammothman I was also thinking of getting my SRi remapped but found out that id only gain a maximum of 10bhp on my NA 2.2 engine. Unless you're willing to blow £400 odd for 10bhp (assuming you do no other modifications ofcourse) then there's no point unless u add lots of other bits as stated above 😃
MikeS think it is worth it if your doing some headwork with cams i got piper zaust manifold, custom downpipe and magnex cat back i don't think fitting a 2.4 manifold is worth it neither a remap
