b207r manifold and turbo

I am looking to turbo charge my z22se and was wondering if the manifold and turbo will fit off the saab b207r engine which as far as i can tell is the same as the z22se but with a slightly lower capacity.

Any help would as ever be massivly appreciated 😃

exhaust side only, or intake manifold too ?

the exhaust side bolts straight on, you will probably need to sort out the oil for the turbo

the inlet will bolt on but the oil breather will need a small mod

but they can be used to make a turbo z22se 🙂

Tee into the oil pressure sensor for the turbo oil feed. Not the best method but dead easy. I've considered this route as I'm reasonably familiar with turbos. Just gone SC for a little change.

any ideas what other mods/parts maybe required? if i go through with it i want to make sure its 100% reliable.

you will need pipework for the intake system, an intercooler of some discription, different air filter, a bit of wiring and of course a remap. Regal are probably the best people to speak to as they sell the dbilas turbo conversion for the z22se.

if you can get the oem oil and coolant pipes the job is made a lot easier, im pretty sure there is an plugged oil feed near to the water pump (green). a hole will have to be drilled into the block for the oil return but its very obvious where to do this (yellow). For the coolant you will need a thermostat housing off the b207/z20net as its different to the z22se

ive got a fully built up turbo, manifold and pipework at home so i will post a picture later on to show you what it looks like.
