help needed

hi all been reading posts on pre cat removal and erg faults now i seem to have the same syptoms as a pre cat blockage ie when you boot it the exhaust seems restricted and lack of power but some posts ive read on egrs sound like my problems aswell,
when im driving normally around town it seems ok apart from lumpy tick over,but get on the motor way and the car struggles to pull before 3000rpm,just wanted opinions on what to do manythanks

Hello mate. Have you recently removed the precat? If not then it could be starting to break up but you'll have to remove the downpipe to find out. If you're going to do that then you may aswell remove the precat if it is still in.

Now.......if the precat is already out then it could be that the main cat is blocked by a bit of debris or just breaking down.

How old is the car and how many miles are on the clock?

hi mate its a 52 plate with 96k on the clock,if the cat was blocked wouldnt the car temp get hotter than normal,but i want to do the precat mod its just getting the time to do it
