Finally got round to sticking the car into local Vx dealer (just before Network Q runs out!!) due to steering intermittently feeling heavier than at other times, they've diagnosed it as the pump, but before they can proceed an area rep' from Network Q needs to check the car etc to validate it, as repair bill will be over £600 crazy price in my opinion!!
I had a word with the workshop controller there and asked him how they diagnosed it was the pump and was told they tech 2'd it and saw some stored fault codes which verified it was the pump; question is , would this not have flagged up a warning light on the dash?
