I had a bit of a problem this weekend, my car was smoking quite alot so we took the head off to have the stem seals replaced to find all the pistons have been hit by the exhaust valves at some point and number 4 piston had a small piece missing out of it (presuming a snapped chain) the bores on 2 and 3 are quite scored, i've not got a price for all the parts yet but was wondering if there is any places that would recondition my engine and what the cost would be.
ideally it would be new pistons, rings, liners, stem seals, valve guides and all the usal extras.

Spoke to vx when i got this car to check any history with them, they told me it had an extensive engine repair eg. snapped chain, sounds like they replaced the bent valves and chain but left the pistons alone, typical :roll: :roll: dunno..
