2nd lambda sensor wire length??

i need to get a new one. and looking on online automotive, they have a choice of 2 for our engine. the plugs look the same, same colour wires, but the wire length of one is 1200mm and the other is 1300mm. the rubber bung/gasket bit is orange on one and red on the other. and there is a £10 cifference in price!!!

the cheaper and shorter lenght wire one, the actual sensor looks slightly shorter too!! which, with the my problem (the insulation on one of the wires has been nicked by sensor lip when went other bump and keeps blowing the ecu fuse when the exposed conductor touches caseing/earth) so if that sensor is shorter then less chance of it touching the under body of the car

i have ordered the shorter one as it is the same length.

but to fit the new one, when it comes, i will need to drive the car to a mates. so was wondering, if i was to unplug the sensor, will it mess anything up?

this is to stop the wire touching earth and blowing the fuse on way. or will i not be able to drive?
