densil hi all wonder if someone could help me out?this morning i done the air box mod on my vectra and didnt have time to take it for a drive so i just went out in it and the revs seem to be high on tick over(just over 1000rpm)would this be due to the ecu getting use to what i have done or shall i put it back to standard. cheers
rushy Thats a new one on me mate. Its all a bit of nothing really the supposed airbox mod on the C. It doesn't unrestrict it any more TBH, all your really doing is opening the intake pipework as soon as it comes into the box rather than it venting an inch or 2 inside it. Have you conected the maf properly? The C ticks over at about 1k till its warm then sinks down to about 6-700 RPM when warm.
densil just had a look i havent fitted one of the adjustable straps which hold the air flow meter to the air box could that be why
rushy Just the plug. You haven't cut off the cone in front of the MAF have you? Check the plug and disconnect the batterie neg for 20 mins. EDIT: Poo, make sure you have your radio code first!!!!!!!
densil hi mate havent cut anything all i took out was the tunnel at the bottom of air box(inside)which will fit back in i forgot to put the jubelee clip back on which holds the top pipe to the box
