Hello,
there are a lot of threads to the cam-issue. I opened a new one, because I have a rather special question.
I drive a 1425kg Vectra and I have often 3 Persons on board with luggage in the back. Of course I want a bit of extra hp in the higher rpm range. But what I also need is an engine, that has enough torque when I want to make a short burst uphill on an autobahn. As you see its another situation as you want to give a VX220 a shot of extra power at 5500-7000 rpm.
So at least I want the engine to have the same torque an hp in the low rpm range and a moderate increase of hp in the higher rpm range.
Do the often discussed piper and compcams st.1 fit my requirements. What is with others? As catcams got a huge repertoire of cams, there should be some for me?
The engine will have a lightened flywheel (5.5kg), a Lexmaul exhaust manifold with sportcat and small head work.
Thank you for hep!
