SC alternator modding

I've taken the back cover off and shortened the stud so the manifold fits in OK. I've just been looking at the 2.4 inlet thread. Do I need to fit a suppressor to the alternator? Is it a suppressor in the potted piece in the cover? Started and ran OK without anything else but dont want to bust it!

I modified my cover so the suppressor can be used. And it looks better this way. 🙂

Yep, modify the cover as shown above to incorperate the original suppressor and trim down the stud. Easier said than done as its a tight squeeze but it works.
