Blue_Eyes Hi all, just a quick one. Does the alternator make any weird sound before it fails? I can hear a sound like bits rattling in the engine bay plus I can hear the TB clinking inside it while on idle. Very weird ! Any ideas?
vocky the bearings can go on the alternator, but usually the belt tensioner makes a racket when it needs changing
vocky belt is quite easy to change, you need a 3/8" socket wrench, fit that into the square hole in the tensioner, lift the wrench up and at the same time slip the belt off.
