Car key not working

hey guys and girls

my car was working fine today and i just been out to my car and the buttons on the key is doing nothing ??? i hoping its the batt but i would of thought it would work here and there but not just give up all at once ???? has anymorn had a problem like this ???? how do ya change tho batt in the key ??? i herd it ya dont do it right it reset the key and cant be used on the car is that true ????

The battery change is quite straight forward. There is a procedure for reprogramming the central locking to work again. I think that you put the key back in the ignition, turn the key then press the lock button on the key until the door locks pop down and back up again. Something like that anyway.

fixed it i had a look inside the key and that batt holded had come loose so bit blue tac to wedge it to stay in the right place and job done lol

the plastic mechanism that pushes the battery down to give the fob power has worn on mine so i shoved some tissue inside to push the battery down further, got a spare but i wont use it until my current one dies completly
