Does This Filter look right?

Just picked this up from the local parts place but looks totally wrong now i have opened it back at home.

What do you guys think?

Don't look right to me. The locating bit on the top is much longer than the genuine filters.

i dont even get a seal with my filters

just pull old one off and clip new one in

Why cant you buy anything these days without having to take it back for one reason or another.

u can get em from vxhall for about 4 or 5 quid m8

but i know wot u mean, i been buying new sensors for missus new corsa and about 20% of em are wrong

what baffles me is how everything has got more expensive the past 18 months but the quality has gone down the pan

u cant buy anything now a days without it falling apart after a few yrs

I normally get mine from Vauxhall too but the dealership isnt that close and this parts place was close so thought i would try it, and it was £5.50, think it was a bad call :lol:

I agree the prices have gone up and things dont last, "Boy i sound like my dad" :lol:

Popped to the stealers this morning.

Talk about prices going up.

I normally go AutoVaux oil filter and 5ltrs of 5-30 fully synth costs about £24

Dealership today

Oil filter and 5ltrs of 10-40 £39.10!!!

i can get both for 16 quid

13.99 for original 10/40 from my local spares place

2.50 for filter from stealership

i did ask em at my local stealership about their prices cos i shoved a 5ltr in their faces showing much it cost me

they wanted 37 quid incl vat for the 10/40 and 52 quid for the 5/30

the reason why 10/40 is cheap is cos that it is available in pallet loads abroad, 300% markup from vxhall dealerships is disgusting

disgrace and no wonder they are on the brink of bankrupcy,

And you have to order the sealing rings for the filters separately from vauxhall lol
