For the Xbox I just used Windows Media Centre to stream to it, but again, over wireless. that struggled.
I've done some testing, and over wireless, it's quite jumpy, as the router and laptop are at opposite ends of the house. I only get 2 to 3 bars of signal strength.
So, I now need to look into improving the signal strength.
