Fitting a B207R engine into an Astra coupe

Hi,
I am considering this as an upgrade, and I dont fancy going down the Zlet route. On my old vectra 2.5 the immobiliser was part of the engine ECU, and the keys had to be coded to the ECU, is that the same on this model?
Would I need the transponder chips from the keys for this engine?

Any help greatly appreciated.

PS I'm not that daft, this engine will be fitted along with an intercooler and some uprated brakes!

the B207R uses the trionic 8 ecu, which i think is 3 separate computers. So you will need these or a standalone. What it will cost for the engine and ecus it will probably be cheaper to buy the parts and turbo charge the z22se. i bought a manifold, all gaskets, oil/water lines and a turbo (all brand new for around £150 off ebay

the B207R/z20NET is a rather large beast so make sure you have enough room between the exhaust ports and bulkhead (at least 12"). The turbo also sits quite high up and is actually approximately level with the exhaust ports

as above, it's easier to convert a z22se to turbo.

the z20net / b207l ecu isn't going to be easy to fit, a standalone ecu will be the best bet.

regal might even be able to map the z22se ecu as they sell a 250 bhp turbo conversion

OK checked up on TIS for the wiring diagrams as fitted to the Vectra C, and it appears that there is one engine control ECU and an Ingition ECU, similar to the set up on the Z22SE engine, as the ECU itself sits on the inlet manifold in a similar location. I am doing some research on a dry sump system, and this would allow me to drop the engine down and cant it forward. I know that canting the engine forward is not ideal for weight distribution, but this engine is lighter than the iron blocked Zlet family. Thanks for the replies gents, this has been seriously helpful!

when I looked into fitting one to my old vec B I found there was 3 ecu's, I intended buying a complete write off vectra turbo and disconnecting everything until I had just the parts required for the engine swap.
