Vectra 2.2 Sri 150

Ive had it for about 2months now, but it is the only time i have give it a clean and wax, and a hoover inside. Lol

Vauxhall Vectra 2.2 SRI 150
2001 model, 51 reg
46000 miles on the clock (43000 when i bought it in February)

All the mods like Air Con, ABS, PAS, RCL, Alarm + Immo, Air Bags, Half Leather Interior

Its just staying standard as i cant afford to do anything with it, only modification thats getting done to it, is a baby seat in the back. Lol

Also anyone who has a spare front black plastic splitter for a Vectra knocking about, could you give me a shout as mine is missing, Cheers

Aint got a clue about things like that to be honest.

How long does it take? And with the bit that you drill into, do you just take that out and throw it out or what? 🙂

It's an easy mod and won't cost you anything. We have a how to guide on the forum. It can be a pain to do but it's worth it 🙂. The bit you drill into is removed and thrown away. It just blocks up the flow of your exhaust. It will take about 2 or more hours to do. Even quicker if you have the right tools for the job 🙂

Might give it a go sometime then, might aswel start somewhere i guess, im looking for nice CHEAP easy ways of gaining more power. eg, filter, exhaust, map or chip or anything.

Girlfriend just had a baby, so money is tight at the moment, but want a little more power till a few years when i get something quicker 🙂

very clean motor you got there.

as Mark said the easiest and cheapest way to get more power from the 2.2 is remove the precat. After that you could fit a panel filter and do the 3 pipe mod, panel filters are fairly cheap to pick up.

Talking of keeping the car standard mate, you may not realise but those aren't the original SRi wheels you have on there.

Yeah i know, didnt realise until after i had bought the car that they were not the original wheels, but im not that fussed, as they look ok anyways. Might get a proper set when i have the money, but at the moment, just going to leave them.

It has a few little stone dents here and there, but nothing major, few stone chips aswel in the paint work that you cant really tell in the pictures, but might get them touched up by a mate sometime.

But still missing the most important thing, the front black plastic spliter from the front bumper, doing my head in. If anyone has one lying around that they dont need or want 😉 lol

Looks a lovely motor mate. Do the pre cat removal mod sooner rather than later if you can.... it makes a hell of a differance..honest!!

Its getting the time to do it, thats the thing.

Plus im not confident enough to do it, if im honest 🙂

I have noticed over the last few weeks, when i put my foot down, it takes 1 second or so, for it to actually say "hello, need to go faster", its got a lag on it which takes the piss when pulling out of junctions with wagons coming towards you. Any suggestions???

Also need to get my Air Con regassed aswel, and its in for its MOT on thursday, got some new discs and pads to go on, aswel as a new windows regulator on the drivers side.

So all in all, going to be a expensive week for me!!! lol

Its a loverly colour though. I would love to do mods on mine but have to be patient as time and money are against me.
