daznav hi all as title im using a vec b 2.2 bottom end to rebuild an astra 2.2 se2 coupe was wondering if the vec gearbox (f23) would fit in the coupe as im sure the ratios in vec are different to astra any ideas or has anyone tried/done this as i now have vec lump out with gearbox attached was going to rebuild with astra head and put the lot back in
vocky the vectra gearbox has a different mounting point for the mounting bracket, so will not fit but you can swap the internals over, the cd + cdx have long ratio's and the sri is the same as the astra sri box
daznav thanks did think mounts looked different thinking about it ill just use the one in the coupe less work for me lol
daznav both astra and vectra have f23 gearbox but vectra has different ratios to astra but both have different mounting points to be honest think mine just feels slow cos its a cabby as the coupe is on par with the vectra
