Fitted my boost gauge

I have now fitted my boost gauge on my Gsi Turbo. I just want to know if the needle looks like it's in the right place, I would have thought it started on 0. I have a new surround coming soon for my gauges, the one in the pic is a temp one lol. From what I can make out of my boost gauge it goes up to 9 psi when driving, some times it's lower if I am driving it normal.

Well from what I have been told it's broke, it should be sitting on 0 🙁. Looks like I will have to get another one

Should be on 0 yes Mark. No vacume pressure when ignition off so 0 it should read.

I wish I had know that before I got it. It was only £20 second hand, I thought the same from the pics I saw of it when it was up for sale. I am getting a brand new Stack gauge tomorrow I think. I have the option of a second hand Elliot gauge, thats set on 0 and looks ok to me. I just don't know if it's any good. The lad who is selling the elliot gauge said he paid over £200 for it.

Lol, the only thing with that Elliot gauge is it's in Bar and not Psi. It cost £229 and he wants £40 for it

This is the new one I will go for if that Elliot one is no good. It will be in PSI and the white face one I will go for cost is £52.90(inc VAT)...

Lol, if it was a stepper motor one or a sweep dial then I probably would have. They don't have much info on it. Have you got the link again so I can read up on it. Cheers

Well I decided to buy a Stack gauge as I know they have been around a while, they are well know. I went for the white face dial to match my dash clocks again. The needle on it glows orange. Total cost was £63 with delivery

Got my new gauge today, it's fitted and working well. I am holding boost at 10psi, it sometimes goes over 10 but it settles again at 10psi. Funny thing is I have just fixed my old gauge :roll: .
