MEGUIARS Water Magnet Drying Towel

:thumbup: Sorry if this has been written about before & you`ve all probably got one but..I was so impressed I had to post.....

..friend a few doors down was cleaning his Veccy C (2.2 - mentioned the site) and said he was impressed with the towel, so went straight out and got one.
After washing the car I gave it a go, was a little bemussed at first as it left quite a lot of water traces, but after it had started to absorb water it turns out to be a fantastic must have in my wash kit. hardly left any marks (which is fantastic on a black car)
Its the first time Ive cleaned the car and not felt like I`ve had to polish it straight after to remove loads of water marks.
The absorbancy is fantastic, just wish I had got one ages ago.

I haven't got one because i use these instead as i have heard that the Water Magnets can put fine scratches in the clearcoat

Damn.....oh well lol
Unfortunately due to milage, location and how much I clean the car, I`m bound to get marks in the paintwork, but will look in to those....thanks Dodger.

I use my megs water magnet for drying inside the engine bay and under the side skirts/alloys! It was a lot better than a normal leather schamois, but there are better things on the market. I've got two of those Sonus DerWunder towels, but my favourite is the Chemical Guys Ultra Plush Towel

Hmmm cheers chaps...perhaps I purchased too soon?

See how it goes for a while..I`m never gonna be a super detailer, just want a good clean without loosing hours of the day.

it's ongoing but once you get the bug it's difficult to stop spending, i wouldn't like to think how much i have spent

I got given over a £100 worth of cleaning products including Leather and microfibre cloths from honda and jaguar, about 4-5 bottles of 8 different types of autoglem products, armstrong wheel foams, Superseal alloy cleaner and tyre treatment, window cleaner.. and loads of other bits and bobs again last week! my a friend who was self employed and had his own valeting business. I have some much stuff now i think most of the stuff will out live me! LOL Il have to take a pic of everything i have i think! lol

You lucky bugger...you`ll have to give us a proper list and let us know how you get on with each product as you use them.

lol.. Yeah will have too! ive use 40% of them already! i spent over 3 hours cleaning my car last friday after work.. could of done more but it was getting dark lol

I was having a conversation with one of my mates the other day. He's bought a 320D and wanted some cleaning stuff for it. His wife went mad at him as he spent a whole £6 on a bottle of polish for it!

I then went on to tell them I have several pots of wax at £30 each, at that point she stopped nagging him 😃

Not only do i enjoy detailing but i see it helps retain value in the resale value of the car.
