Access to the garage..

Was thinking that maybe only members should be only able to access this...Had a browse lunchtime in work without logging on and thought maybe it was a bit too much advertising to joe public...in light to recent stranger activity in my street andnosing at cars etc...obviously we wolud like to show off wot we have done to our cars,but not to the wrong clientel...#
Correct me guys if i am clutching the wrong straw here...

I think your right, I'll have a look at permissions and stuff, and sort it out.

Sorted it. If you are not logged in, you get:

Not Authorized

You Have Attempted To Perform A 'BROWSE' Action.

The Site Administrator Has Configured The Garage Such That Your Combination Of User Level & User Groups Are Not Allowed Perform This Action.

Another issue I had with the garage is trying to add the model of my car. I come up with an unable to load error.

You should be able to add your model of car now, because you were trying to add a model which wasn't already in the database, and it needed to be approved by admin, which I've done. Give it another go.

Still cannot get it to work right... I can select the lMake, but there are no models listed. When i try and click the link to add it, nothing happens.

It works with me ok. Select make ie Vauxhall. Then the model will be ready in drop down box. The model won't show up til you put the make in first. I hope that helps you 🙂

Well I've just had a look at the makes of car which are stored in the database, and "Oldsmobile" is listed 6 times, so you are adding it.

Yes, i got that far, however after i select the MAKE "Oldsmobile" I cannot add in the MODEL "Alero" for some reason (it isn't listed). Sorry about the 6-times, it was just getting a little frustrating.

OK, that should be sorted, I've manually added the Model to the database, so you can now select it after selecting Oldsmobile as the Make.
