Best place for boost gauge?

What place should I fit my new boost gauge on my Gsi? I was maybe thinking in the top din slot along with an oil pressure gauge. Or maybe keep it in the pod that it's coming with and stick it on the top air vent on the drivers side?

This is the gauge and pod thats on it's way to me 🙂

I saw a very nice mod by locating it in the drivers side airvent once on a Zafira GSi. A chap from Scotland in an Arden Blue Zafira. The vent was removed and then a piece of MDF modelled and covered in vinyl then positioned in the airvent hole.

I have seen them in the vents also. Both done on the Astra. One placed in the vent above the radio, the other placed in the vent above the light switch on the drivers side. I am not that good with cutting stuff to shape to fit the gauge in a vent. I have even seen one fitted in the dash clock, looked ok but it blocked the view of the fuel gauge lol

The plate thing used looks a perfect fit, original. I doubt I could make mine as good as that lol

Not sure on how to start lol, whats he used for the boost gauge to sit in? My vent is different in the Astra. I might be getting another one or two more gauges yet, so I might sit them above the heater controls (Audio slot)

yeah they do look nice they i like it 2 when there is 3 gauges

I have just got another 3 gauges, oil pressure, oil temp and a better boost gauge I think lol. Looks like they will be going in the radio din slot

I am not sure if I need both the oil ones, I think the main one is the oil temp or pressure, can't remember what ones most important lol

I am getting the oil temp and oil pressure ones for £20 for the pair. They are the same make as my boost gauge. Hope they come with what I need to wire them up.

Are you going to fit them in the upper audio slot, and move the stereo to the bottom one?
