certainly I would get the spolier sprayed at a bodyshop, much better paint finish.
as for fitting it, very easy, put some masking tape on the bootlid, draw around the 'uprights', then make a template of the holes, fit this over the masking tape, mark the holes, double check, then check again, then drill them. Finally use some touch up paint to seal the new holes and fit the spoiler.
