there are over a hundred egr cheaters out there and I've taken both my z22se cars for at least 2 mot's each and never had a problem.
the egr valve only operates at cruise conditions, so it could never be tested at a mot, plus they don't have the equipment to check it either.
vauxhall themselves remove the egr valve and fit the blanking plate, so there must be several hundred z22se's without egr valves.
