coilover woes

I have had coilovers fitted to my astra g hatch with the z22se in obviously and the garage that fitted the coilovers had not fitted the bearings that go on the top mount of the front suspension turret, there reason was that the bearing was too big for where it was to be fitted.

Do any of you know of any possible reasons why the bearing would be too large?

Please help because its going back tomorrow and i would like to be able to suggest what may be the cause.

What coilovers?

Have you gone for the raceland budget ones?

no, dont worry they're not cheap knock off's. I've been told its something to do with how the standard top mounts have been used (or not used)

You need to use the top plate from the std struts.
If you've bought a reputable brand and they were made for your model, they should fit.

Anything wrong with the raceland coilovers Si? They all seem to like them over on AOC and at £150 they seem a bargain, was considering investing at some point.

Not heard of that many issues with the racelands a think a few members had 2 lefts or 2 rights turn up in the kit. But thats about it and a couple of having setup issues for a budget setup you can not grumble at all.

well for what its worth its sorted now. the idiot who fitted them (ETS in derby) didn't fit the bearings that came off the standard suspension.

As for the raceland coilovers, a lot of the lads on AOC have them and apart from some minor issues during delivery most are very impressed, especially for the price.
