The US LSJ guys frequently have oil dipsticks "popping" issues, which means they already have a lot too much pressure in the crankcase... and that is with the PCV working like it should.... just a thought...
I read there that this LSJ dipstick popping was due to a faulty inlet manifold gasket. GM uprated their gasket for this:
*CONDITION/CONCERN:
On rare occasions, the engine oil dipstick may become unseated on hard acceleration, resulting in an engine oil leak. If the engine is operated long enough like this, a P0171 DTC could set due to the engine ingesting unmetered air.
This concern is the result of excessive crankcase pressure on hard acceleration. This crankcase pressure may be the result of an intake manifold gasket concern that allows supercharger boost pressure to bypass the intake manifold gasket where it seals around the PCV orifice, which is between the #2 and #3 intake runners.
RECOMMENDATION/INSTRUCTIONS:
If the SI diagnostics do not isolate a cause for this concern, replace the intake manifold gasket using part number 12597855, which contains an updated sealing surface around the PCV orifice. This part number, or any future part number, is designed to address this concern. *
Blocking the PCV orifice on our SC-ed 2,2's is a sure way to prevent boostpressure seeping to the crankcase, but I just like to have a proper working PCV system. :problem:
