I've had this knocking and rattling noise for a while now. I can hear it whilst i'm driving along from every little bump in the road. It sounds like a metallic rattling and at the same time as though something is banging around in my boot/ underneath my car.
I was convinced it was my exhaust because one of the arms is slightly broken but i jacked it up today to look at it and its hardly got any play in it at all notsure.gif
My backbox is very close to the nearside rear spring and the wheel well on the opposite side but it always has been and i've not always had this problem.
Could it definitely be the exhaust or might it be something else? dunno..
I've booked my car in to get a custom exhaust done at the end of the month, £340 its costing, but i wouldn't want to fork out for a new one if it turns out it isn't this.
