What does resonated mean on an exhaust system? I have just secured a second hand Cat back Blueflame exhaust for my Gsi Turbo 2.5" 6x4 Oval exit. It's a resonated one but I am not sure what that means lol notsure.gif

It means it will contain a silencer. Just to help keep the sound down.

Cheers for that, will that hold any power back having it resonated? It it better to have it resonated or none resonated 🙂. Cheers

You get it off AOC mate? Was mulling over that myself but wasn't sure it would fit my G or not.

I did mate, my old exhaust is rotted away. One of my hangers has come away and the other will be off soon. So I thought it best to get a new one.

It is the far better option to have a resonated pipe. You won't loose any power from it. The pipe that runs through the box is a perforated tube that is wrapped in wading to dampen the noise level. Its all good! ;-)

I desperately need a new exhaust, my powerslow one is f*cked. One of the hangers is broke and i can hear it rattling and knocking on the underside of the car whenever i hit a slight bump in the road! 🙁
Going to have to get one soon, thinking of opting for exaclty the same as you've just got, 6x4 oval from blueflame. there's a place near me that will do me a custom system using blueflame stainless 🙂
Take some pics once its fitted please mate so i can see what it looks like.
