hey ppl i been over to a place called rushed and had a look at an sri turbo had a look around and seems ok jw for things to out for i think i going back for a test drive 2mro after work a started it sounds great no wired nosie had cambelt done and there no smoke from the back engine looks dirty but looks like will clean up its on 80,000 for £4000 ???? that any good ??? i thought its not that bad myself look at oil cap and oil is clean too any help would be great thanks Daniel

can you afford to run one to? they are monsters on petrol and have to be serviced regular!

Are the service intervals not the same as most other Vauxhalls? I would have thought that as long as you change the oil/filter every 5000 miles (DIY job) then it would be hassle free. As for fuel consumption, I have heard that they can be a little thirsty. Apparently the boost comes in quite low so you are driving on the verge of boost which can drink up the fuel. Should be okay for 20mpg around town and about 32mpg on a run, but if you like to spin the turbo up regularly then you're going to need a good supply of fuel!

I knew your be tempted for a turbo soon Danny! lol Join the club!.. My insurance will be near half the cost soon. Approx 7 weeks then il be paying from £2000 a year to £1100 a year with my turbo! 😃

Yeah fuel!.. Drinks more than my old 22. Not to bad on long trips but around town you can just watch the guage go down lol.
Worth every penny though.. 🙂

Insurance is the killer, wanted a Honda Accord Type R but insurance was 1800 a year bring on next year. On my SE2 2.2 is only 1100 quid a year with a DR10 and im only 21. :-)

I have had the Sri Turbo and I loved that when i had it, great car and more rare 🙂. I also wanted a Honda Accord Type R, still may try one some day 🙂. You will love the Turbo power, just hope the insurance is ok for you. I was getting about 32mpg in my Gsi yesterday mixed driving 🙂. Nice Turbo you had Neil, what made you get rid of it?

4k seems a bit high for it on 80k i would get a price checher done on it and i think they are worth 3-3.5k now i dont know whay people think they are worth so much when they aint.
i was looking at an 888 the other day for 4.5k with 50k on clocks and the car was clean

think i going to give this 1 a miss the bloke being a bit wired i going keep my eyes open i think plus when i been driving 2yrs in july so i going to wait till near then lol but yeah your car was vocky how ya pay for a new 1 ???

Its guttin m8, id love a turbo but i cant afford the insurance, just stick with what you got m8 and clock up them no claims. Then soon you can pick a nice astraT with a nice healthy premium.
