Z22SE engine, It's off a 52 plate VX220, done 75k miles. I've owned the car since 37k/2005. Inlet was kept totally standard apart from derestriction, and it was fitted with a 200 cell cat and WeaponR, and had a replaced timing chain about 20k miles ago.
About 7k miles ago I fitted a new ported cylinder head from ebay and some Comp Cams stage 2 cams. About 5k miles after that, a valve seat broke up and the valve fell off, making a hole in the cylinder head and the piston. I took the engine to bits and the bore was perfect, not a single scratch. I installed another piston (thanks to vocky 🙂 ) and put the old head back with some performance cams and it's been great ever since - for about 1-2k miles. I'm now fitting a 2.4L lump I ordered from the states when the valve seat broke so I don't need this any more.
While I was happy with it in my car, I'd like anyone buying this to buy it with that in mind. Also being aware that this engine didn't have a new con rod or con rod bolts, or new head gasket or head bolts when I put it back together the last time. I'll say around £450 for the block/head/sensors on block. Sorry but I can't supply the fuel rail as I need that for the 2.4..
Other stuff I have that I'd like to get rid of now I'm going 2.4. Prices are hastily added, so I'm open to offers. If you want pics/info let me know. The 2.4 engine stuff is off a car that did 7 miles, so it's basically new.

1x Set of 16 replacement std valve seats. Came in a GM gasket set. £5
