Air bag light

Hi all, I turned on the engine this morning to head off to work and I noticed the airbag light was on which had never happened before so I turn the engine off to hopefully reset it but no joy. Now I wondering if the airbag is going to go off and I have a 200 mile drive today which will wreck my head. You never know with these things, could a hard bump set it off if it’s in an unsafe state. If I disconnect the battery to reset it will i have to get a code for the radio? And could anyone one give me a code by pm or do I have to call the dealer? What could be causing this light to come on?

I am not sure if the air bag light is on that they are disabled? as said not sure.

I doubt disconnecting the bat will help but if you do you will need the radio key this should be in your service book, other wise it a trip to the dealer or a decent audio place.

Have you fitted anything recently which may have dislodged a cable.

I havent done anything put i am having a prob with the steering as in it shakes when i go over 110kph so maybe it has thats it. Its knocked something lose? Is there any switch anywhere to disable the airbag so i know its safe and it wont go off when im driving.
