Martyn Another problem. Ok turned the car over the other day and when it started up the car felt as if it was shaking and when revved it hesitates, also if I keep the revs to about 2000rpm or more the engine feels like its shaking and last it has no power now. Martyn were can i get the blanking plate from? for the egr? and if it is the coil pack how much am i looking at and were am i best getting one cheers mate.
daaaaavek You can get a blanking plate for £3.50 from a VX the dealer .. part number is 24575592. Fit it but hang the EGR valve off to one side to trick the ECU.

dodger you could try using carb cleaner on the egr valve as a temporary measure until the blanking plate comes in.
Martyn just been to a garage and they put it on tech 2 for me, and their was no fault codes showing. so now what do it do.lol never ending. cheers dodger for the link
Martyn spot on m8, was the coil pack, got a new one from vaux 185 spondles .. ouch all sorted now. Only now is it worth blanking off the egr? cheers for your help lads.
Martyn i could of but i have 2 children so id rather someone pro do it lol i sound like a rite n0b however ill be doin the pre-cat removal thing so any tips on that would be good, do i need to buy new gaskets? cheers. Martyn.
