What Mods to do??

I get my student loan end of the month got 400sheets to spend plus where I work we get vouchers for halfords so got another 250 to spend on upgrading speakers and subs.

Basically want some idea's, thinking of 2.4 inlet manifold/panel filter/vectra c intake/pre cat/egr blanking and general throttle body cleaning plus a service. I have quoted all of that above and still have 150quid left.

For the speaker I dont have a clue like the look of JBL Speakers but dont know what speakers size got an amp + wiring kit..

Any ideas?

speaker wise i would either go for kicker, alpine, jbl

go for alpine if you can get the good stuff apposed to the cheaper stuff

Don't buy the 2.4 inlet manifold! Save your money. The 2.4 inlet is NOT the way to go without other extensive mods.

My advice would be to get yourself a K&N panel filter or a Courtenay foam panel filter. Vectra C intake pipe, change the induction pipe to the throttle body for a Vectra C type or one of the aluminium with silicone joiner bends from a chap on here called the Earl of Barnett. He can provide you with what you need for £70 IIRC.

The best mod that you can do for absolutely no money is the precat removal. There will be a healthy gain in torque and as said before, its free!! All you need to do is remove your downpipe, turn it on its side and knock out the precat section with a chisel or you can try drilling it out. Just make sure that you don't get/leave any debris down the pipe that may get stuck in the main cat.

Trying get a rear bumper for the coupe in silver already, needs replacing looks horrible (misses decided that bollards are designed to be reversed into)
Would love a GSI/SRI Front Bumper but to expensive lol

Got these the other day just waiting till I have the energy to fit um... lol

Sound system (After almost slapping the halfords guy who insisted it wouldn't fit in the door :oops: )

Decided upon some JBL Front and Rear Speakers with some JBL Tweeters cost 160quid, so mid range as such cost 60quid a pair plus 40 for the tweeters.
Still deciding upon the SUB as I already have the AMP, but considering these http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165748.
Still had 100 quid left so as I thought I might need something to do untill I can get my car on the ramp decided to alter the interior slightly. So got some Richbrook Black Door Pins, Richbrook black gear knob, new gearbox gaiter and handbrake all in black.

Will post pics once I get round to doing it all, as I feel I may well be busy for quite some time.... But will be worth it!!!

You will have to modify the Richbrook handbrake lever cover. Believe me its a right pain in the ass! You will find that the back end of the lever fouls on the handbrake mechanism itself. You will have to cut a section out of the threaded part of the handbrake cover/sleeve. I know that these parts are sold as officially endorsed products by Vauxhall but they are not a direct fit as you would get with an irmscher part.

I bought the gearknob and handbrake lever and ended up throwing the lever away. I was in discussion with the design people at Richbrook over this problem and there was going to be a change in design but as of yet I think they are still as they were.

The lot is going back if thats the case, they assured me it was a direct fit for an astra... B******S..

Give it a go mate but Neil (Blue SE2) had a handbrake lever too and he had to cut his about. You need to hacksaw a section out of the back end, a sort of square shape to allow you to move the lever/sleeve right back so that the button release works.
