Thanks to Daz today for doing my workmates timing chain. Martin had a frantic conversation with me last Monday morning about the rattling coming from his engine. I'd already explained the problems with this engine when he bought the car 2 years ago. He called Vauxhall to enquire of the price and they came back with £525.
I told him to hold on and that I would sort all the parts and contact Daz to see if he could fit it in. After a swift call it was all arranged for 10am this morning. I ordered the parts and was suprised to see how much the prices had increased from 2006 when I had mine done. Martin and I drove over this morning and the weather was glorious. A quick cup of tea and Daz was on the job. 3hrs 20mins later and Martin was off home again safe in the knowledge that his engine would live to see another day.
