My Dyno Results

Hey guys,
Opelaus had a dyno day (rolling road) at the weekend. A great opportunity to test the gains of some recent mods.
I got them to map the run against my previous graph.
Before (Red):
Pre cat removed
Dbilas exhaust manifold
Vec C intake & panel filter
Polished TB
=90kw atw
After (Blue):
2.4L intake manifold
Dbilas cams
Exhaust system (inc 200cell Cat)
=99.5kw atw

you can see the 2.4 inlet working at the top end, you need to get a remap to get the best from your mods

but with those mods it is only pulling 135bhp when i converted it. I would have expected a good 160 bhp or 117KW.

Cheers guys, KW is kilowatt, which is what we measure power in down under.
I'm not too sure on the conversion, but I'm pretty sure it's more than 135bhp. Isn't standard 144, or something?
There was a stock standard, same car that ran on the day which pulled 88kw, so that gives you some idea.

Vocky: Would love a remap, but unfortunately nobody offers them for our engine in this neck of the woods.
Do you think the FPR mod would of helped a little?

i think that the standard for our engine at the fly is 105kw so having 99.5kw at the wheel aint too bad :thumbup: if it does equate too around 135 if prob bout 160-170bhp at the fly :think:

The Dyno Dynamics is known throughout the industry as being the "heartbreaker" dyno! (quote from another site)

Is the reading at the Fly or the wheels.

We had a large meet at RR place and most of our cars where showing low figures with the Dyno Dynamics dyno. The good thing is that you keep going back to the same dyno.

I would be worried about how rich it is though and then the leaness near the end. I thought it should be a steady 13.5 AFR.

Vaux's are known to be rich. As Vocky says it really could do with been mapped it is a shame that no one offers it. Could you not send the ECU off to be mapped?

what milage is on the motor? that seems like a large loss of power considering the mods

101,000km's on the motor.
Loss of power? I gained a 13% increase from when it was standard dunno..
