Why to regret the 2.4 Manifold?
I think with all of those modifications more air shall be much more than a good ingredient to my engine!

No! The 2.4 inlet kills the torque, fact! My car lost almost 20lbs of torque during the development of this mod. I am not the only person to have suffered this kind of loss either. Courtenay Sport had my car for 3 months doing the research & development on this project.

Also, do you have a link for the Iridium plugs on ebay?

Torque is what counts on the road. There's no point in having 10 billion bhp at 6500rpm! Its unusable power and revving the tits off the engine like that isn't going to do it any favours. Torque is what drags/pushes you along the road and gives you that feeling that you are accelerating positively.

I was quite disappointed when I first drove my car after the developement work had been carried out. The car felt gutless and I was revving well upto the red line. My car dropped almost 20lbs of torque once the inlet was fitted and mapped.

My advice is leave it alone and concentrate on the exhaust system from front to back in the way of a 2.5 inch system and a Piper/dBilas 4-1 manifold.

Well....i used to do a lot of modification on my previous car and i found that if you put more air with larger runner and bigger TB backed up with good CAMs, well done exhaust system the result was very promising, 115hp and 145Nm on the wheels to my C20NE without modifying the ECU. I the current case i am more than willing to believe that the modifications above shall give me good hp and torque, well might be in higher rpm, but shall have them 🙂
Look at the mods which i've performed, i've did them all except the 2.4 Manifold and 2.0 TC (shall install them this week) and after the installation of those shall test the car and then shall go to dyno to re-map the ECU.

I can only speak from good experience and that the car was tuned by the UK's leading Vauxhall/Opel tuning company, Courtenay Sport.

Mod list at the time of 2.4 inlet:

Schrick Cams & Double Valve Springs
Ported/Polished Cylinder Head
Ported/Polish Throttle Body
K&N Panel Filter in Modified Airbox
70mm Vectra C Induction Pipe
Precat Delete
200cpi HJS Sport Cat
2.5 inch Milltek Catback System

Why you need double valve springs, if you are not looking for high rpm, the standard one are good as well with no issues.

My modifications so far are:

COMP CAMS Stage 1
Balanced shaft deleted
Full exhaust system 63mm(2.5") with PRE CAT and CAT Removed
Ported and polished head
76mm Custom Induction Pipe
K&N panel filter with modified Air Box with 70mm custom pipe
EGR cheater
NGK Iridium spark plugs

and still to come the 2.4 Manifold and the 2.0 SC TB (68mm)

Well... i hope to reach vocky's results 🙂

Have you got a link to the NGK Iridium plugs please? I can only find Denso Iridium plugs.

Yes i tried to, but the link is not there anymore, not able to find it. I got them almost 6 months ago.
In Bulgaria we have also Denso, but i am not very pleased from their quality!
Shall try to find other!

thats some goosd work there mate. so you managed to remove the balancer shafts with out removing the lump.
was it easy anything get in the way?

Without getting out the engine you need to unleash the right pad, then you need to loos the front axle - in that way you are able to low the engine enough to be able to remove the balance cams. It takes 3 hours to complete, but it is not complicated at all.

Johnny - Here the NGK are out of quantity, only the Platinum left which you can find on e-bay as well. Only we have Denso Iridium, but i do not recommend them. NGK are with thick diode.
