My Toyota MR2 Project Car

I thought its about time id upload some pics of the MR2. Ive now had her for 4 weeks and the only thing ive done to her is fitted a Momo race steering wheel and gave her a good wash and a good going over with the clay bar 🙂 ( took pics last Monday, washed and clayed her today )

I was in two minds of getting rid of the Coupe or the MR2.. But now i think its time for a change?

My tax runs out at the end of this month so might get the MR2 re-tax'ed and insurance changed over from the astra to the MR2 🙂

...Which means the Coupe will be up for sale! cryb.. No idea what price to put her at?? Maybe £2250 ono ? dunno..

The MR2 looks in good nick, is it just the photo's or is the paintwork a bit oxadised?

Looks nice mate. One of my friends had an import MR2 with twin entry turbo. Was about 260bhp and it went like billio!! How does the insurance compare between the Coupe and the MR2?

She is.. for her age shes great. Only done 92,000 miles. Im the 3rd owner. Private plate. Paid only £900 :thumbup:

The paint is faded all over but im not too worried as shes getting a new paint job when its done showo..

Cheers Johnny! I had a import two years ago which need TLC with the bodywork. Had full body kit and ferrari style wheels. Loved it loads but not one insurance company would touch me all bacause it was an import.

I got a quote from adrian flux for £1275. Thats with full body kit / exhaust and wheels. Now.. Im paying £2000 atm with admrial with no year claims bonus ( as i only started on my own last August ) I have to stay with the same company for me to get hold of one years no claims. So to change over to the mr2 with admrial, its about the same. Now because i have the 10 month bonus accellerator il just have to wait for another 2 months then go with adrian flux.

Shane, you might want to check that Adrian Flux will accept the no claims bonus with it being an accellerated 10 month one, those are usually only accepted by the company issuing the no claims.

As you are all aware of, ive got a new coupe now and ive had to sell the mr2.

I put her on ebay and the auction finished last last. Lucky enought sold it too. They picked the car up tonight and was gone with it in no time!

I took it out for a spin up the road to show the guy that everything works and drives fine etc...

We have the T-top off and god i had fun driving her! felt really good!

Only lost £50 on her so i cant grubble really.

But i think ive made the right dicition of getting the turbo 🙂 ( more power! ) lol

glad you got a quick sale and you didn't lose too much money.

i like what you did to the dash and centre console, much better than just black it seems to brighten up the interior.
