We are suffering from random misfires particularly after decelaration. We have changed water temp sensor, lambdar sensor, coil pack(twice!!), we have cleaned egr valve. Can anyone help us further? This problem has been on going now for months and we are extremly frustrated with the whole thing. We have a mechanic friend who has been with his diagnostic stuff dozens of times and cant find what the problem is. We are at a complete loss and dont know what to do next.
The engine history; we burnt a valve in November and completly rebuilt the engine, new valve, new pistons, new big ends, mains, etc, new timing chain kit, new oil seals, and after this the engine ran like a dream...... for about 5 minutes !! 🙁 . There are no significant fault codes showing, eml on all the time, occassionally it will flash, and the car will chug like a tractor for a few minutes and then be fine again. Occassionally it will stall and then not want to start,but eventually will. Any ideas????????
