I had the oppertunity to shoot my first football match last night, as my father-in-law is club secretary, and they play at a rather large ground - Don Valley Staduim
I was really dubious, knowing this was a night match, and would be under floodlights, and it would really test out what my set up could deal with.
Now, I had to do a lot a post-production work on these pictures to get the noise down (NoiseNinja plugin for Photoshop), because it was a night match, I had to whack the ISO right up......to 3200, otherwise, everything was just a blur! My main objective was to caputure the action, as even if they do get used by the club, they will only go in a small A5 sized programme, or scaled down on their site.

Overall I'm pleased with how they came out given the huge ISO I had to use and the PP work done afterwards. I can't wait to be able to shoot a day match, when I can use a lower ISO and get much sharper pictures.
