Problem with the Z22SE - Unkown issue

Hello All,
I am a new member here and i enjoy the forum a lot.
My name is Vladimir and i am from Bulgaria.
I have very itching issue with my Astra G Bertone Z22SE.
When i am pressing the gas pedal to Full Throttle the engine start thinking for a bit and then like is with no air start choking.
Sometime when i am accelerating the car stop going more than 4000-4500rpm and start choking again, if i release the gas pedal and smoothly start pressing it, it accelerate to 6500.
I went to the dealer and they diagnose the engine, no errors were found - they told me that might be the Fuel pump.
I've changed the Fuel Pump with a brand new one Bosch, same result.
I've changed all filters as well, the Fuel pressure looks okay as well.
Do you have any clue about this problem?

maybe coil pack or spark plugs but that would probs bring up some error codes maybe ???

give the throttle body a clean with carb cleaner dont know if it will work but it wont hurt

I've cleaned the EGR and cleaned the throttle body with carb cleaner already, no result.
The dealers told me that the spark plug are fine.
If it is the coil, do you think that this might affect the whole work of the engine?

If the CAT is not working properly i shall loss power from 1000-6500rpm, and in my case this is not happening.
Also how i can check the CAT?

a faulty coilpack gives no errors, same with a blocked cat

Could you help me to order new Coilpack, and how i can change the CAT without error of the second Lambda Sensor?

take the cat out and inspect precat / cat

give it a good shake

if all seems oki then it is possibly something else

Do you think that the problem might be related to some of the items above no proper functionality?

they pretty competitive 🙂

i also use platinum plugs 2 🙂

After few parts changed and some actions performed i am almost sure that the problem is the CAM CHAIN.
Changed the Ignition Coil module, sparks, fuel pump, removed the pre cat and the car also and i am hearing snapping of the chain and there is no chance to manipulate it, which means the timings are not right and causing the problem. Will order the kit and shall see 🙂

have you stopped driving it now then coz if its the chain i wouldnt even start the engine m8

Why i should stop driven it, what might get wrong?
I am using it now only to work and back home, no long distance.
I've ordered already the cam chain and should be delivered any day now.

by driveing it wid the timing out it cound corse more problen and if it has jumped teeth then it is too lose so could snap maybe

I understand that.
The chain really become very noisie, when i am pressing the throttle to accelerate is start whistle and makes the engine with a lot of noise on it and.
There is not way to tide the chain, the bolt is fasten till the end.

As Danny says if you suspect the chain do not move the car. It really isnt worth it small journey could end in disaster.

The Cam chain is now replaced. The problem is solved and the car is running again smooth and great 🙂
