Hello every one,

My names Ed (SteadEddy), I am new to the forum but not the site. I finally got round to joinging.

It's a wicked site the technical section is brill.

Anyhoo, I was hoping to pick up some tuning knowledge so I can finally turn round to my m8's 172 and wip it the sh*t out of it lol... Any help? And to come to meets if any and make some friends, so HELLO!

I own a Blue Astra SRi 2.2 53 plate, it's pretty much standard at present, except for de-restricting the airbox and replacing the air filter with a sports panel filter. I do have the Vectra airpipe but I had huge trouble trying to get the standard pipe out.. lol

Oh yeh, I've got different tyres and taken the stupid fron light covers off!

hello mate welcome to the site, an easy way to get the standard air pipe out from under the slam panel is get a dry wall saw and cut the mounts off!
if you get on your knees and put the dry wall saw under the slam panel and cut the mount off near the bonnet catch you can just pull it out :thumbup:

Hiya m8 welcome to the site as a member cheers.. for mods id start with a good service, then pre-cat look on the how to section. then for the rest of the mods it depends on how far you want to go.

ive just done one mod tonight thats well easy drill some holes in the bottom of the airbox works suprisingly well and you can notice the difference in noise and poke should compliment your uprated panel filter and vectra pipe also the precat mod which is my next move

the pre cat was a nice and easy one apart from the sensors on the exhaust, so a tip for you if you cant get them off is to trace the sensor back to the engine bay and disconnect them their.
