freeview in car

ive got the box the screen the wiring but now all i need is a really good ariel so i dont get any signal loss preferably one with a amplifier ive looked on ebay and at maplins but am scared to buy incase its crap has anyone got one they can recomend or used before with good results

I bought a freeview unit that had an aeriel with it. The aeriel was about 6" and magnetic so you can stick it to outside of the car. It worked well unless you were moving 😃 😃 😃

as soon as the car moved did it scramble i need it to work movin aswell thers a self adjustin one at maplins but dont wanna risk the dough without researchin 1st

My mate had one working whilst moving, but was a pain in the ass.

If i remember rightly got a cheap ALBA Freeview box, ran the RF Sensor from the boot to the front of the car. He than got a omni-directional ariel put that on the parcel shelf than further more had another aerial that came in the box on his roof with a booster in the boot of his car.

Was a royal pain in the ass if i remember rightly, but still would scramble in certain area's and when you left that coverage area for the main reception.

Omni-directional aerial would help plus a seperate booster.

Your going to struggle with digital cos the signal needs to be quite strong, i have 2 digital amplified ariels connected to my freeview box although i get a good picture it does scramble quite a bit when moving, i tried everything i could think of and spent a few quid as well!!!
