scrap the astra

hi guys, i'm thinking about scraping the astra 🙁
i cant be arsed to spend money on the engine trying to fix it and nurse it along, so i'm thinking of stripping all the bits that are worth anything of it, and then selling the rolling shell as a project or something!
i cant get the £2400 i need to get a zlet fitted in the next few months!
i'm thinking about getting a 1.8 sri astra hatch on a 52/03 plate! dont know if this is the best thing to do!but i give up with this astra cryb..

the car has got a set of kosei rims on it they are 18's

thats what i'm thinking matt! got to know when to give up! i think i will try and find a younger 1.8 sri for aroung 2500k and put all the prodrive stuff on that instead

It will probably worth it in the long run, but the risk is that after you solve the current problems it could be a reliable car

i have started looking for a 1.8 sri to see whats about but there isnt many black ones about by the looks of it!

black is quite a hard colour to find mate. but i hate black cars personally they show to much and never look clean.

yeah i'm still coming on saturday, my car doesnt miss fire if i dont put my foot fully down!?! which is strange, my m ate at work said if the rings were gone it would have no power at all??? is this true?

No rings = no compression... so I'd say you'd notice it a bit...

A missfire under full load is usually spark or spark timing, especially in turbo cars :thumbup:
