4 New Tyres

I've got to have 4 new tyres fitted this afternoon, so I've gone for

Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta all round, and changed from 215/50/17 to 225/45/17

They have got some really good ratings on the TyreReviews website. They have worked out at roughly the same price as the Falken FK452's I was looking at from Camskill, as having to get them fitted and balanced plus valves, there is about £5 per corner difference.

The Vredestein are £96 each from Camskill, and I'm getting them for £100 a corner fitted!

That is a good price, and i have heard some good reviews on these tyres i think porsche send these out with some of there cars so must be good. I like the tread pattern also.

Which tyre place is doing that deal for you?

Cheers Si, it's Dexel tyres on Birley Moor Road who are doing them for me. They are being delivered at 3pm this afternoon.

im considering them as well , give us a review on them and then a update in a few weeks when they have bedded in.

it might help me make my mind up on what to buy next.

Cheers everyone, initial impression is very good. There is a considerable reduction in road noise, and they are already gripping better than the old tyres I had.

Well, after 2 weeks with these tyres on, I'm VERY impressed with them. Road noise is down a hell of a lot, and they stick like shit to a blanket. Loads more traction in 2nd gear

What was the upgrade in tyre size like Matt? Is it ok for our Vectra to jump up to that size? I like the look of them 🙂

Yes mate, the 225/45/R17 is also listed in the owners hand book.
