oil useage on vec c

probably only done about 1500-2000 miles since oil change and level had dropped by about 2 notches on the dipstick which I think equates to roughly around 200-300 ml (got my math head on now!!), does this sound bad to you guys?? , annoying as my other motors never lost oil unless there was a leak, however I have read about a TSB that relates to this engine and Vec C that stated the piston rings were not to spec' and if found to be using excess oil, that the rings were to be replaced under warranty at the time and the spec' in manual etc seems to be 1ltr/1000 miles is acceptable and mine would appear to be within spec' in this case!!, makes you wonder what crap we're driving around in these days!!

A Litre every 1000 miles seems pretty excessive

Know what you're saying, but these engines seem to be worse than a lot of others, certainly of those that I've previously owned.

Seems that quite a few z22se suffer from oil loss. Stem valve seals and piston ring failure seems to happen to a few as well. Mine burns some oil but i use 5-30 which although the car runs better on it i think it is too thin.
