robo22sri thought i would post some pics of the bits that need to go on the astra! but the engine is not looking good, i checked the oil today and the car has started to smoke out of the dip stick when i throttle it :thumbdown: , not sure what to do now! any ideas?
robo22sri its smoke cause its fine on tick over, but comes out when throttle it! its only just started doing it and not knocking yet, but not good news for the astra, not sure if should get rid of it before it dies or engine swap!
Sjdickso You have not had much luck with that car at all, what was is the mileage of the car and has it got service history?
robo22sri the car has got 92k on it and a part service history, my mate said if its not blowing the dipstick out it might just be crank pressure, but i'm not to sure! dont know if i should change the oil and see how it is after?
robo22sri no not done the oil change yet, that was the next thing on my list, i had the cam belt and tensioners done straight away and a good service was next for me

Sjdickso Plenty have done zlet conversions but i dont think it is a very easy DIY install. Seems quite a good buy that though.
robo22sri the other problem i have is insurance next year! i wont have any no claims even if dont have an accident till november! so wont be able to insure it with a turbo in it! might give up lol
Daniel dont tell lol i see on ebay an astra estate that had 2lt turbo and it was an 1.4 on the v5 lol
