Dodgy coil pack

this might save you the cost of a new coil pack, certainly it's worth checking first :thumbup:

the coil pack has extensions, inside the extensions are metal springs, these can corrode :thumbdown:

there are two types of spring, one with two small springs and a black thingy in between and the later spec with a single spring

basically like putting ht leads from a dispack 🙂

thats really all they are, HT leads

and we all know what happens to old HT leads... :thumbdown:

i used to make springs like that a few years ago

took my pack to bits the other day and the springs were the jointed type. They were immaculate though, no corrosion or anything. Still ran bad when reassembled, so bought a new coil pack and that worked perfectly :thumbup:

they do get very hot as well 🙂

probably some dry solder somewhere
