Mark_Dj Well the Gsi is finished as in main parts. It's ready for Mot and Tax then off to the paint shop 🙂. I got the last main part yesterday that was my front bumper from Lmf. I am very happy with how it all gone 🙂. I should have a new timing belt kit fitted this weekend, it's had a fresh oil change and filters by myself. Can't wait to drive it 🙂...........
Mark_Dj Thanks 🙂. I think maybe a week or two before it's in the paint shop. I think I will try and get it Moted this weekend
MikeS you've done a cracking job usually you tend to see where it has been shunted but you got the panels all nicely lined up there you gonna prep the bonnet before you take it in ?
Matt Great work Mark, bet you're really excited about driving it, I know you really liked the SRI Turbo you had.
Mark_Dj I sure did like that Sri Turbo 🙂, I only sold that at the time as I had a crap job and the insurance was a little high. Then I got the Coupe Turbo, but then a Gsi popped up. So now I am at the top of the kind of car I like to drive, best colour for one also 🙂
Mark_Dj Well it passed it's Mot today 🙂. I will tax it online and then it's off to the paint shop 🙂
Mark_Dj Same here, I nearly broke my front bumper tonight, I tried to do a u turn and caught the kerb, I forgot how low these bumpers are. I was was shocked, glad it was not painted yet. I have some nice scratches on the front bumper now.
Mark_Dj Some pics and pics of the damage to the bumper from the kerb. Looks like I will have to watch kerbs very close  . I am just glad it was not painted yet.
Matt Ouch! Bet you are really glad it wasn't painted yet. Is that just cosmetic damage, or has it damaged the plastic as well?
Mark_Dj It's rubbed the plastic a bit, but my painter said it ok. I am just glad it did not crack. It's an easy reapir, the paint should cover it no problem.
