Hi ephid0r thanks for the offer, i am in Bury in Lancashire, i have bought an OBD2 reader for about £80 but its saying no codes found, the engine management light has strangely gone off on its own now, but the spanner and car symbol is still on, i didn't mention that i haven't put the alternator belt and tensioner etc back on yet, i would expect the battery light to be on as the alternator wont be charging, would this throw up this spanner light though?
