jimbob600 A few weeks ago the fuel warning light stopped working, now the weather has warmed up a bit im thinking of trying to replace it but wondering how to do it, any advice would be great, thanks.
MikeS u sure it is the light ? if it is then cowling around the steering column needs to come off then u need to take out screws around the trim of the instrument panel then pull it out, messy job as the steering wheel makes it a pain
jimbob600 Im almost certain its the light, it came on while on route then stopped working a few miles later i have run the tank down to 10 miles on the range and still no light but everything else is fine. is it a hard job to do or just fiddly? is the bulb readily available? i live 10mins from autovaux in wakefield do you think they will stock them?
MikeS it is just fiddly m8 get the whole thing for it and not just the bulb as it is a pain in the ass putting the bulb in the connector
jimbob600 Just got the steering cowel off and the 2 small hard to get to screws behind the cowel to remove the rubber surround, where abouts are the screws to remove the trim and instument panel to get to the light? I cannot find any, Thanks, James notsure.gif
MikeS would help if we knew wot car this was vectra b ? vectra c? astra ? also have a look on ebay for instrument panels for sale, you can see where the screws are located, they are usually on the top and bottom
jimbob600 Cheers for that mate, so its the 2 plastic lugs on the far left and right? any ideas on removing the trim around the panel in the first place?
