Thinking of selling the Turbo....

Well I thought this may happen :roll: . I have run out of cash for this car and it still needs stuff to finish it off and I am getting nowhere fast. It's a great car, nice low mileage, powerful, tidy. Parts still needed to make it mint again are......

1 Turbo alloy (£100 or cheaper on Ebay)
Pro Drive front bumper (£250)
Rear spoiler (about £80)
Airbag ecu (£40 from local breakers yard)
Hub sensor (£60 on Ebay)
1 side skirt, as it's split at the side (£145 from Vauxhall new)
1 drivers strut to be on the safe side, as it may be slight bent from the accident. (£53 from Vauxhall new)

Whats it worth? It has a full new Mot on it and I have just taxed it. The car drives good and does not have any errors while driving it. Remember this is the rare one with only 500 made. Price wise I was thinking it's worth £4000 the way it is what.. . I am using the car every day for work and stuff. I let it warm up and cool down right with it being a Turbo car.

sad to see it go mate after all that work,but it's worth 4 grand easy should get more like 5k in my eyes they are going for 6k in poor condition so notsure.gif

If I sell her I want a car I can just jump straight into and use it for work and stuff. I am thinking of a diesel or Mk3 Astra Gsi again what..

I know mate. The other thing is I can't stand having to wait for the Turbo to cool down and warm it up before I go out in it :lol: . Plus the petrol thing is a bit too much :roll:

Here's a really good example of a coupe in black (although i think it was a 1.8), it was at last year's fast and modified show in Edinburgh. Go on Mark you know you want to.....

Get a nice example of a coupe mate, I'd get one if I didn't have the house to sort out.

Stuff the diesel idea, I jump in my 2.2 at 4.30am let it warm a little then polish off a 180 mile motorway stint no problem, then do it again on way home, piece of piss, whether I had a petrol or diesel the fuel costs are high so I might aswell enjoy it while I burn it.

We all need cars, might aswell have a fruity one, get a 2.2 :wink:

Well I still may end up keeping her yet. I will have to just plod on as time goes by, adding bits at a time. My mate has talked me into keeping it, sort of lol. The next thing to buy is the bumper and spoiler that should be soon I hope. I have the bumper ready to collect just need to order the spoiler.
