On checking my oil I have noticed a slight dab of mayonaise on the dipstick. The oil was changed 6 month ago and only covered 5000 miles. When pulling out the dip stick the oil is black but at the end is this mayo. I have checked the coolant and there is no contamination, also I looked under the oil filler cap and there was a touch of mayo on there 2 🙁

Could this be a case of the head casket on its out, by the way there is no coolant loss

Or could it be condensation due to the cold, I only travel 3-4 ish miles to work so the engine is not fully upto temp

Any ideas would be appreciated before I start stripping it down :think:

if you drive your car daily for less than 30 mins at a time then u gonna get that

might improve in the summer

also disconnecting the cam breather hose to inlet hose does not help matters as the condensation is sucked out of camcover into bottom of inlet manifold

my catch tank is starting to look a brown inside, still aint filled up though

I do not know whether we should worry, mine z22se in Spain also seems to have a bit of mud on the measuring rod, 8 miles a day and do sometimes seem to have that mud and not others.
the refrigerant is correct.
the other day substituted the water pump and the lubricant is clean only.
